Features · Rifles and barrels
Round counts that
survive a barrel swap.
Downrange tracks how many rounds a rifle has fired in total, how many are on the current barrel, and how many since the last clean. Change a barrel and nothing is lost.
Three counts, side by side
Each rifle card shows On action, Barrel and Since clean. A rifle also keeps its own loads and zero history, so two rifles never mix.
Fill in the name, make, cartridge and, if the rifle was not new, how many rounds it had before you started logging. That starting number is added to the action count.
You log the rounds, on purpose
Counts come from the round log, not from saved groups. You do not measure every group you shoot, so groups alone always undercount. Enter what you actually fired, and choose a barrel, or Action only for rounds you do not want counted against one.
Each entry carries an optional short note and a date, and can be deleted. The screen shows the most recent 25.
Clean, fit and swap without losing history
A barrel has a name, an optional spec and twist, and its own totals. Mark cleaned adds a clean date and restarts Since clean while the barrel total keeps counting. Several cleans are kept.
Add barrel fits the new barrel straight away and leaves the old one with its history. Fit moves the fitted barrel back to an earlier one. Every group already marked stays linked to the barrel it was shot on.
The action count never goes down
The action count is the rifle's whole life: the starting number, plus every logged round on any barrel, plus Action only entries. Removing a barrel detaches its entries instead of deleting them, so they stay in the log, marked as removed, and the action total keeps them.
EXAMPLE DATA How the action count adds up. Swapping to Barrel 2 did not reset it, and Barrel 1 keeps its own 1,300.
Where the counts show up
- Trend can plot group size against Rounds on barrel or Since clean.
- Zero check filters to one barrel, so a barrel change never muddies a zero.
- A new group is linked to its load's rifle, or your active rifle, and to that rifle's fitted barrel.
On the free plan you can keep up to three rifles with one barrel each. Pro tracks as many as you have, with every barrel a rifle has owned. Rifles you already have are never locked away if you drop to the free plan.
