Questions and answers.

If your question isn't here, write to us. A person reads every email.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Everything works offline, at the range or anywhere else. If you use Sync, it catches up the next time you're online.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works without one. You only sign in, with Google or just your email, if you turn on Sync.

What does Sync store, and where?

Your groups, loads, rifles and barrels, round log, range sessions, zero resets, saved analyses, target presets and target photos; the dates of your free analysis days, so a reinstall doesn't reset them; and the email address you sign in with. If you sign in by email, we use it only to send you sign-in codes. It's kept in your own account with Supabase, on servers in the EU (Ireland). Sample data is never synced. Sync is free and off until you turn it on, and you can pause it, sign out or delete the cloud copy at any time.

Which units can I use?

MRAD or MOA for angles; mm, cm or inches for sizes; metres or yards for distance; m/s or fps for velocity. Set the defaults in Settings. Each group remembers its own.

The numbers look wrong. What should I check?

Usually the scale. Pick two calibration points as far apart as you can and type the real distance between them carefully; every figure is scaled from it. If the photo was taken at an angle, use 4-corner calibration on a rectangle of known size, such as the target's printed border: it corrects the geometry, so the numbers are right even though the photo still looks skewed.

Does it find the holes for me?

It can suggest holes, and you confirm each one. On busy or splattered targets, marking by hand is faster and more accurate. Zoom in to separate holes that touch.

How do I move my data to a new phone?

Turn on Sync on the old phone, then sign in the same way on the new one (the same Google account, or the same email address and the code we send you): your records and target photos follow. Without Sync, export a session file in Settings and import it on the new phone. The file carries your groups, loads, rifles and barrels, round counts, range sessions, zero resets, saved analyses, target presets and tags, but not your target photos, so those need Sync. Importing only adds what the new phone doesn't already have and replaces nothing you've entered.

I subscribed, but Pro isn't showing.

Open Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in to Google Play with the account you bought with. If you use Sync, signing in to the same Sync account also brings Pro with it. Still missing? Write to us with the ID shown in Settings: your Account ID if you're signed in to Sync, otherwise the Support ID.

How do I cancel a subscription?

In the Google Play Store app: Menu → Subscriptions → Downrange. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel it. Refunds are handled by Google Play.

How do I delete my data?

On the phone, Settings → Clear all data deletes everything on it, permanently, and signs you out of Sync. In the cloud, Settings → Sync → Delete cloud account deletes your account and everything synced to it. If you no longer have the app, see Delete your account.

Is there an iPhone or web version?

Not yet. Downrange is on Android today. An iPhone version and a web version are both being considered.
